RIP: Boo [Bruce Smith] December 5, 2007
Yesterday morning, a longtime friend and loyal reader passed away from very painful health conditions. Boo, as everyone in "the circle of horror" knows him as, was furiously emailing and leaving comments via various message boards and websites up until his very last hour.
Boo has been a good friend and enthusiastic reader of mine since my first book, The Swan Road, came out in 2002. He often served as a reader for me when stories just weren't going right. I valued Boo's comments because he gave it to me straight, spared no punches and truly helped. He was the type of friend who wanted to see you succeed because he cared so much about you. Boo had a wonderful sense of humor even in his darkest hour.
There is so much I could say about Boo, but others have already said it. Boo was a good friend and I wish we could have met face to face, but it wasn't to be. I have some of his emails though, from when his beloved cat Scotty passed away, to his final emails on Monday night where he wished Christopher and I lots of happiness and continuing love into our old age. Boo lamented that he never got to experience " a grand romance like you and Christopher", and it made my heart break for him. He was such a romantic at heart, it's a shame that he never found a life partner to share his loving, compassionate life with.
I will always remember you Boo. You will live on through the lives of the many that you have touched. RIP.

UFC VICTORIES
Take THAT Team Serra! Awwww yeaaaahhh! Team Hughes got 2, ONLY 2, fighters into the quarter finals/semi finals...and who ends up going to the FINALE???
So Christopher and I can't wait for Saturday night! The Finale will be awesome...can't choose sides on this one, whoever wins, wins. Wow! What a great conclusion! And Go Hughes! We want to see him come back and fight Serra.
------
Other news:
Slowly recovering from The Sickness. lol. Kiddo#2 is home today, worn out from coughing all night. She seems better now after a litany of steamy showers, etc etc.
The writing continues...I have a story that needs typed up. I shouldn't be procrastinating any longer...also have about 10 that need to join the submission world...maybe tonight.
That's about it from this part of the woods.
