Munchkins are out for the holidays! Yay! Teh Hotness is also now on a 2 wk school break as well. Sadly, he must still report to the job.
Holiday baking was this past Friday. I made 4 dozen sugar cookies. All that remains are broken angel heads and the tops of the Christmas trees [cookie cutter design flaw]. I ate the half a star that I found at the bottom of the cookie jar with my Pepsi I had for breakfast. lol.
I bought a $5 mink stole off ebay and made the former Bodiless Lottie a mink coat, I still need to tweak the LSDS pattern a bit as the sleeves came out too full and the collar a bit too pouffy:

Also pictured is Belle in the ensemble I created from 100+ yr old Antique satin moiree. Also, Lottie again in her 1909 LSDS pattern Tablier des dimanches [Sunday Apron] apron from the recent Bleuette group apron challenge. I had fun making the mink coat. I'm trying to win another mink stole off ebay to sew a few more coats to sell. I also recently acquired 2 new heads as well through trades. I traded a fellow Bleuette group member some ensembles for a head. Cute little SFBJ Silver 301 with a blonde bob wig. No body yet.
I've also gotten an SFBJ 247 Twirp...no wig or body for her.
Okay...I am cold. There is much pain. I've been working on the Stoker Internet Mailer that goes out tomorrow, but now I am going to go sew. I finished a baby quilt and several blocks on Kiddo#2's Southern Belle quilt I've been making for her bed and need to sew the pcs together/stitch the binding.
I hurt too much to actively create, so no writing for the afternoon. Bah Humbug.

Sewing News: I traded a wonderful friend in my Bleuette yahoo group a nifty little brass bed and linens that I made [didn't make the bed, lol] for 2 Bleuette heads. Found one Bleuette body at an affordable price on ebay...woot...so need to acquire another body. I still am missing a larger body for the head I bought earlier in the year that turned out to be too big for the other doll body I bought.
Finished 1 baby quilt for a high school friend's second baby boy. Woot. Congrats!
Finished 23 doll linen sets; 20 vintage chenille doll blankets; 28 seasonal hand towels, and have 18 hand towels left to finish sewing. Add all that to the pile of china dolls, doll dresses, and Bleuette dresses. Yay! November Craft Fair here I come!
New project, in addition to my Bleuette ensemble sewing of course, is Teeny Doll Clothes sewing...for circa 1900-40s teeny dolls from 2 inches to 6 inches. What fun! I'm so excited. Have teensy little patterns and everything! I've been buying the little dolls in lots on ebay [there are so many of these listed that I can often get 4 or more in one lot for cheap!] and putting them in a shoe box....as soon as the hand towel sewage is finished, I'm moving on to the teensy dolls. yay.
Other News: Halloween is nearly here! Been putting together Kiddo#2's Halloween treat bags for her to take to school in a couple of weeks. Teh Hotness's classes are still going full speed ahead, he's worn out but doing great! We're busy working on a couple of writing projects in between his giganormous load of homework! We won tickets to Screams at Scarborough Faire at FenCon and plan to go one of these Friday nights. Woot.
That's the scoop. I'm going back under my rock to work now.
