Scary, but not surprising....

Should you be MALE or FEMALE?*

You scored as Male

Being mostly male / masculine, within your structures of thinking simply means that your reasoning powers are (the way they are perceived in Western Culture`) higher than the one of the opposite sex. Psychoanalsis claims this to come at the price of creative expression - a rational thinker can not think out of the box, it is claimed.

In other news, I sold a horror story yesterday morning to a new as yet to be titled anthology edited by Janrae Frank. It was a wonderful Christmas surprise! Looking forward to it.

The kiddos were at their dad's yesterday and today, so we did "Christmas" on Christmas Eve. Fun was had all around and Teh Hotness aka Christopher cooked a Christmas Ham and I baked a pear pie. The pie was a hit...disappeared in one day. The ham was yummy and we're still eating on it.

Today we hit the after Christmas sales. Went to Walmart where we stocked up on mostly girl gifts, along with some regular household items that were on our to buy list. Then we headed to 1/2 Price Bookstore...we had a small basket of stuff that got abandoned in the horror section because the Buy line was practically out the door...no thanks. We then went and ate some dinner and dropped by Barnes & Nobles to shop [thanks Erica & Marc!] where we picked up a boxed CD set of Zatoichi movies, some Halloween cards, and a lap desk for Kiddo#2.

Kiddo#1 was chosen as an on-camera reporter for his elementary school's new news team [broadcasted within the school...thank you Bob for the reference :)] so once a week after school Kiddo#2 and I will have car time for an hour after classes let out while we wait for him. The trip to the school is 20 min one way, so it would be stupid for us to go back home and then back to the school...so I can sew or read and Kiddo#2 can sew or color. We made up a bag of stuff for her to stay occupied with, and the lapdesk will be perfect.

Then we came home...I'm supposed to be writing now...but instead I took a dumb quiz with the expected results, and am now posting on my journal...well, it IS writing...lol. Got a nice royalties paypal payment a few minutes ago. yay.

The BIG event of the weekend will be the UFC Nemisis  79 fight between Hughes and St Pierre and Liddell and Silva. Christopher and I are going to a local sports bar to watch the fight. We had considered splurging the $40 to watch it on pay per view, but when we discovered a local sports bar had it, we decided to go to dinner and watch the fight for free. Woot! I'm still bummed that Matt Serra pulled out of the fight due to injury, but I really want to see Hughes fight, so all is okay. I'm sure once Serra is deemed healhty he'll be gunning to get into the octagon with Hughes...if Serra is ever pronounced healthy. Those spine injuries aren't anything to be taken lightly. And I just LOVE watching Chuck Liddell fight...so fingers crossed Hughes and Liddell both win!

Okay...I really am going to go write now.

Ha. My wife and I both dig UFC as well. One of the dvd's I bought her was the Liddel vs. Couture trilogy set. We're going to hunker down and watch it later this season.

Awesome! We've just started renting the early seasons from the video store. We were tempted with our Best Buy gift card to actually buy a series, but we didn't. lol. We LOVE Couture...I hope he doesn't really retire, but I watched a documentary on the making of the UFC over the weekend, and it looks like Couture is really pissed off at Dana White over something, so who knows. Guess time and his fighting itch will tell!

I'm trying my hand at a mixed berry pie for New Years. And congrats on Kiddo #1...

I probably should've done more last night on the writing thing, but the Hell Cooties caused a lung to try to escape during the Kennedy Center Honors -- and [info]nimrodjcs didn't get home from work until almost 8 p.m. That threw everything off.

Today's on track though... on track for what, I'm not exactly sure... 8-)

Yeah, it's hard dinner planning around unknown hours..things will end up cold or dried out...sigh...glad he made it home though. Also hope the lungs clear and stay corralled...I'm due for my pneumonia shot so I'm trying to stay clear of any lung infestations or else I'm in deep doo doo.

I got the rough draft of a story typed from the handwritten draft....now for the editing/rewriting!

Today seems better. But then, so did yesterday -- controlled cough during day, back on me that night.

The upside to him working late yesterday is that he can take off early on Friday. We have a longer weekend now.

I am. Yesterday about this time, I totally ran out of energy. I'm doing better today. Should go take cough medicine again, though.
